- Vehicle Technical Details: Make, model, manufacture year, trim package, transmission type, and optional Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN) supplied to determine mechanical compatibility.
- Custom Sourcing Specifications: Component dimensions, CAD references, damaged part images, and engineering tolerances.
- Regional Locale Preferences: Selected currency (USD, EUR, INR, NGN) and market jurisdiction saved locally in browser storage.
2. Regional Privacy Compliance Frameworks
ShopCarParts adheres to the specific legal standards of our core operational markets:
Processed under General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 supervised by the Data Protection Commission (DPC) of Ireland. Users hold enforceable rights to data portability, rectification, restriction of processing, and erasure (“Right to be Forgotten”).
Compliant with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. User data is processed based on explicit informed consent for specified automotive procurement purposes with dedicated grievance redressal mechanisms.
Aligned with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 overseen by the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC). Strict safeguards govern parts transaction logs, cross-border courier documentation, and anti-fraud identity checks.
Subject to UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA). We will never sell, lease, or monetize visitor contact information or vehicle search histories to marketing brokers.
3. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VIN) & Mechanical Data
In the automotive sector, a VIN is necessary to determine precise brake rotor diameters, electrical harness revisions, and axle weight tolerances. ShopCarParts treats VIN information as sensitive vehicle data, encrypted at rest and shared strictly with verified dealer technicians matching custom orders.
4. Cookie & Tracking Policy
Our showcase does not employ third-party advertising tracking pixels or retargeting cookies. Essential session state (such as region selection between Global, Ireland, India, and Nigeria) is stored locally on your device for user-interface convenience.
